144 Watt High-Intensity Submersible 48 LED Fishing Drop Light W/Transformer
$249.95 – $304.95
- High Intensity: 48 incredibly bright – 3 Watt LEDs for a total of 144 Watts in white, green, aqua, or blue. The lumen output of this light varies depending on the LED color. Read our color section below to learn more.
- Plug N’ Play: Plug into a standard 110 VAC outlet and throw this off the boat, dock, pool, etc. and watch this illuminate a 360° circle around the light.
- Fish Attractant: Aquatic life is drawn to underwater lights. Phytoplankton feed on light, ultimately, drawing higher members of the aquatic food chain to the light.
- Submersible: With a transformer, we can do longer cable lengths up to 125′. For fishing boats with 110 VAC outlets, these lights can be hooked up to go deeper than our battery-powered fishing drop lights.
- Multiple Applications: Can be dropped off the dock, boat, pool, or anything underwater. All it requires is a 110AC outlet.
- Quality Materials: (4) 36 Watt LED boards, crystal clear temperature-grade epoxy, heavy-duty vinyl end cap for protection, stainless wire eyelet for attaching float or chum bag, and up to 125′ of 18 AWG heavy duty SJOOW cable with embedded strain relief.
- Long-Lasting: We run our LEDs at lower power leading to a longer lifetime. We do this because LEDs get most of their lumens at 60 – 70% input power, leading to lower electrical costs, reduced operating temperatures, and longer lifetimes. The indestructible lighthead is fully epoxy embedded, with heavy-duty marine-grade cable.
High-Intensity Submersible LED Fishing Drop Light with Transformer
Featuring our Loomis LED High-Intensity LED Submersible Fishing Drop Light. One-of-a-kind, this LED submersible fishing light can be ordered with custom cord lengths up to 125′. Just plug into a 110 AC outlet, and you will have an incredibly versatile, bright, submersible, and indestructible fishing light.
Design
We manufacture our High-Intensity Deep Submersible LED Fishing Light W/Transformer with top quality 3535 custom Cree packaged LEDs. For our heat sync, the 36 Watt custom LED boards are thermally-adhered to our aluminum 6061 machined bar with one on each side. From here, we solder the wires and epoxy embed the lighthead inside a clear acrylic tube. For efficiency, the green is rated/tested at 190 lumens each, but we run green at 130 lumens. LEDs are most efficient at lower power levels, where they produce 70% of their lumens in the first 1/2 power applied. For longevity, we run the LEDs at half-power to keep most of their lumen output. To keep the light at optimal power, we use high-quality auto voltage/auto current 60 Watt transformers that can handle the various marine environments you put the lights in. Do not submerge the transformer. Our High-Intensity Deep Submersible LED Fishing Drop Light runs just a couple of degrees above the water temperature.
Includes
- (1) – (48) 3 Watt LEDs epoxy embedded in a clear acrylic tube.
- (1) – 60 Watt waterproof-resistant epoxy embedded IP67 transformer with 110 AC plug.
- Up to 125′ of AWG heavy duty black rubber SJOOW cable with embedded strain relief.
- (1) – Heavy-duty vinyl protector cap on the end and cord strain relief.
- (1) – Stainless wire eyelet for attaching float or chum bag on the end
Multiple Applications
Our submersible LED fishing light can be used for a multitude of applications including night fishing, boat fishing, dock fishing, bank fishing, dock lighting, boat lighting, pool lighting, well boring, etc. As long as there are a 110 AC standard outlet and a water source you want to light up, this high-intensity light will illuminate a huge 360° circle. Primarily used for fishing and to create a beautiful nighttime aesthetic off the dock, boat, or pool.
Night Fishing on the Boat
For night fishing purposes, the first thing to remember is our submersible LED fishing light only plugs into a standard 110 AC outlet. Some larger boats have these or run generators and these are perfect for the light. For boat fishing, this light is high-intensity and deep submersible up to 125′. At night, Phytoplankton has no food source, but if you drop this down 125′ the phytoplankton will swarm to the light as a new food source. Other members of the food chain will be attracted to light, but also the phytoplankton as a food source. Effectively, this light operates as an underwater fish feeder that can target specific fish at depths up to 125′ with a high-intensity underwater light during the night. Night fishing has never been better, and if you don’t have a 110 AC outlet, we also sell a 12-14.5 VDC battery powered drop light here.
Night Fishing on the Dock
For dock night fishing, this submersible LED fishing light can be plugged into a 110 AC power outlet and dropped off the side of the dock to attract fish. For the same reasons above, fish will swarm to the light. Leaving the light in the same location will work similarly to a bird feeder in that fish will remember there is a food source. For docks, it will help leaving the light on during the night to create a consistent food source fish will check out at night. Depending on your dock depth, you can get any cord length to bring fish to the dock. To learn more about using underwater lights as fish attractants, read our article, “Why do Underwater Lights Attract Fish?” here.
Colors
Lumen outputs will differ depending on the color of the LED you purchase. White produces 180 lumens per LED, green 130 lumens per LED, aqua 110 lumens per LED, and blue 50 lumens per LED. As this light includes (48) 3 Watt LEDs, you can calculate the lumen totals as shown below
- White: 180 * 48 = 8640 lumens
- Green: 130 * 48 = 6240 lumens
- Aqua: 110 * 48 = 5280 lumens
- Blue: 50 * 48 = 2400 lumens
Ranking Colors as a Fish Attractant
- Green is most sensitive to fish visual fields and produces a large number of lumens.
- White covers the entire spectrum and produces the most lumens per LED, but not all of the light is visible to fish.
- Aqua is similar to green in wavelength but doesn’t produce as many lumens as white or green.
- Blue is visible to fish but produces the least amount of lumens per LED.
Plug N’ Play
Our submersible LED fishing light can be dropped down, plugged in, and is ready for use. Simply plug into any 110ac standard outlet with or without a timer or photocell. You can purchase an outdoor GE photocell/timer at Lowes or HD for around $15 to automate when the light turns onor off. To handle the marine environment, transformers have been upgraded to high-quality auto voltage/auto current waterproof epoxy embedded IP67 transformers. While they handle the environment, do not put them out in direct weather. Please do not submerge the transformers because they are water-resistant as opposed to completely waterproof. To stop marine growth, apply a very thin film of waterproof marine grease to all areas on the lighthead and cord.
Warranty Information
Here at Loomis LED, we stand behind our USA manufactured products. We include a full 2-year warranty that excludes return shipping, 150°F sensor activation, and electrical damage. The submersible LED fishing light can be operated out of the water for up to 5 minutes. However, if the lights left on without water cooling for 10 – 15 minutes, the lights will reach 150°F and activate our thermal sticker both damaging the LEDs and voiding our 2-year warranty. We do not warranty the Meanwell transformers included with this light.
