Downward Facing 72/120 Watt LED Fishing Drop Light
- Downwards Facing: Illuminates a 140° beam angle facing down to lure fish up from the depths when night fishing.
- Fish Attractant: Fish are attracted to underwater lights, particularly in green wavelengths. You can drop the light on fish at specific depths via your fishfinder or by doing research on fish behavior.
- Deep Drop: Purchasing the 24 LED/72 Watt version will give you 80′ of cable whereas the 40 LED/120 Watt version is only 45′. Therefore, you can choose whether you have a longer cable with less light or a shorter cable with more light.
- High-Intensity: Lumen output will be 3120 lumens for the 24 LED or 5200 for the 40 LED in green 520-nanometer wavelength light. For white, lumen output will be 4320 lumens for the 24 LED or 7200 lumens for the 40 LED in a broad spectrum wavelength. 24 LED uses 72 Watts and the 40 LED uses 120 Watts.
- Long-Lasting: Conservatively, LEDs will last for roughly 30,000 hours of use, meaning this light will last a lifetime. Fully epoxy embedded, the light is fully waterproof, corrosion-proof, deep submersible, and indestructible.
- Easy-to-Use: Just attach the brass alligator clips onto a standard 12VDC battery (either charged or charging) and throw off the side of the boat. To target specific depths, you can cleat the heavy-duty 200lbs rated cable at a certain point and heave on the boat.
Downward Facing LED Fishing Drop Light
Introducing our Downward Facing LED Fishing Drop Light, designed to cast a 140° beam angle after being dropped to a specific depth. We offer fixed cord lengths at 45′ for the 40 LED version, and 80′ for the 24 LED version. Since the light is facing down, you won’t be blinded by the light. Instead of focusing on aesthetics, this light is designed to lure fish to your lures at specific depths when night fishing. We offer a 48 LED Drop Light with a 360° beam angle that goes down 35′ here.
High-Intensity
Incredibly bright, this light will cast a huge 140° diameter of light facing down into the water. The 40 LED fishing drop light has more light and will, therefore, attract more fish. On the other hand, the 24 LED version can be dropped to 80′ allowing you to target different fish at a wider range of depths. The 24 LED version uses (24) 3 Watt LEDs for 72 Watts, and the 40 LED version uses (40) 3 Watt LEDs for 120 Watts.
Fish attractant
Underwater LED fishing lights attract fish to them due to the lumens put out from the light. At night, when the sun fades, phytoplankton has no more food source, unless there is another light source nearby. Our Downward Facing LED Fishing Drop Light acts as an underwater fish feeder, luring all sorts of aquatic life to feed on phytoplankton. The longer the light is in position, the more aquatic life will discover the light. We find green attracts fish the best followed by aqua, then white. To learn more, read our article, “Why do Underwater Lights Attract Fish?” here.
Easy-to-use
Simply plug into a standard 12VDC charged or charging battery and heave the light over the side of the boat or dock. You can cleat the heavy-duty 200lbs rated cable if it’s too long, to target specific depths that you know fish are at. You can also remove the alligator clips and install a cigarette lighter plug or a two-pronged waterproof connector plug. By looking at a fishfinder or researching how certain fish behave at night, you can figure out what depth the light should be at.
Includes
- (1) – 24 or 40 LED epoxy embedded sinking head
- (1) – 45′ or 80′- 18AWG SJEOOW cable
- (2) – heavy-duty brass alligator clips for battery attachment
- (1) – 2-year warranty
Warranty
Manufactured in the USA, we include a 2-year warranty that excludes electrical damage such as lightning, using anything other than a 12VDC – 14.5VDC power source, or shortening the cable. Shortening the cable will lower the resistance in the wire and increase the current to the light leading to failure, and voiding our warranty.
