Description
This all-new Loomis LED High-Intensity LED pool light is designed for years of submersion in your pool. Through Summer and Winter, this pool light requires little maintenance and can simply be left in the pool year-round. Both incredibly bright and affordable, we offer our customers the highest lumen per dollar ratio in the underwater lighting industry; ultimately, delivering incredibly bright lights at reasonable prices. Our Loomis LED High-Intensity LED Pool Light will both lower electrical costs and replace costly halogen bulbs that burn out every year. We offer single color LEDs that don’t change colors to give us greater lumen output per LED.Â
 Installation Ideas Above Ground:
- Run the stainless support wire and light wires up under the coping or edge of the pool and down the outside.Â
- You can bend the stiff wire to position the light flush against the wall down 1 – 2 from the waterline. Bend the stainless wire over the pool wall to secure the light in place.Â
- The light is designed to hang on the side and is very stable there.Â
Installation Ideas In-ground:
- You might have to drill a small hole into cement on the pool edge to attach or bend the wire into.Â
- You can also put this in place of an old halogen light hole in the pool provided it is in contact with the water and the right size.Â
- Put some sort of weight on the pool edge and run the wire under it.
Make your own Mount:
- You can also go to Lowes and buy a stainless steel flat bar to make your own mount.Â
- You can drill holes in the PVC flange for small stainless steel bolts or screws for mounting to your bar.Â
- Then you can mount the bar to your pool.
Intended Use
Do not run the pool light out of the water and void the warranty. This Loomis LED pool light has heat indicating sensors. These sensors (red with a white dot) will turn black at 150° Fahrenheit. It takes a good 10-20 minutes plus running the lights out of the water to reach this temperature. In other words, activation of this sensor only occurs in extreme conditions. The plastic starts to melt at this temperature! The light must be underwater during use. You can only run it out of the water if the light is cool and has not been used, but only for a short duration of time (up to a minute). Under no circumstances are you to pull up a light that has been on, pull it out of the water and leave it on. The aluminum block will heat up quickly and could damage the LEDs.Â
Transformer Safety
The transformer converts the AC into DC out. The IP67 epoxy embedded waterproof transformer should be in a mostly dry location off the ground and 10+ feet away just to be conservative. It plugs into any 120vac outlet and/or timer. Transformers are waterproof but not submersible and require free air circulation for cooling. Do not mount in a sealed box, please. Make sure rainwater does not run-down cord into the transformer and put dropper loops before and after the transformer.
GFCI Outlet
A GFCI outlet should always be used around water. If mounting in a box please drill (2) 1-inch holes in the sides of your box to allow air in for cooling and holes in the bottom for drainage. Photocells or timers are fine as long as they are on the AC side and not on the driver’s red/black (side) dc output. These are available through Lowes and Home Depot in the low voltage landscape lighting section.Â

Pool light works perfect. I was afraid that it wasn't going to be bright enough. I was wrong. This light is very bright. I am so happy I purchased it. I'll send Andy some pics
