72/144 Watt High-Intensity LED Underwater Dock Light for Shallow Water (<10')
$219.95 – $304.95
- High-Intensity: Incredibly bright and affordable, our LED underwater dock lights offer unparalleled lumen per dollar ratios in the underwater lighting industry. Available in 24 LEDs at 72 Watts or 48 LEDs at 144 Watts. Read more about lumen output per color below.
- Plug N’ Play: Just plug into a standard 110 AC outlet and tie an 8″ by 8″ patio paver to the bottom of the light and heave. The light will sink to the bottom and illuminate a huge diameter of light in a 360° beam.
- Shallow Water: Illuminates in a 360° beam angle to illuminate a wider circle in shallow waters less than 10 feet deep. Fully submersible, and designed to be run exclusively underwater.
- Energy-Efficient: These will cost roughly 10 to 25 cents a day to run these lights. Replace those expensive metal-halide/mercury vapor bulbs with drastically higher electrical costs, with energy-efficient LED underwater dock lights.
- Long-Lasting: Durable and built to last, our light will last a lifetime of use. Conservatively, LEDs will last for around 30,000 hours of use. The only way these lights will fail is by failing to adhere to our instructions.
- Versatile: Used for freshwater docks, saltwater docks, floating docks, fixed docks, and even your swimming pool. As long as there is both a water source and a standard 110 AC outlet this dock light will work anywhere.
- Safety: These operate on safe low voltage direct current due to our high-quality AC to DC transformers. There is no need to worry about electrical runoff.
High-Intensity LED Underwater Dock Light for Shallow Water
Featuring our High-Intensity LED Underwater Dock Light for Shallow Water. Incredibly bright, durable, and easy-to-use, the dock light creates a 360° beam angle around the light perfect for shallow water. Traditional dock lights will have all their light pointing up from the bottom, but in shallow water conditions less than 10 feet it makes more sense to spread out the light and have less light lost in a single spot on the surface. We sell a bottom facing up light as well, for water deeper than 10 feet or facing out from the dock mounted to a pole here.

Design
Designed for shallow water use, this LED underwater dock light is incredibly bright, affordable, and durable. For optimal use, this light is intended for depths <10 feet. A 360° beam angle is better for shallow water as opposed to shining the LEDs directly up from the bottom as in our bottom facing up light for deep water. It leads to a better light spread where less light is lost in a single spot. For LEDs, we use high-quality 3-watt EpiLED or Cree. We mount the LED’s ourselves to our own boards and then special pressure mounted to our own in house machined 6061 aluminum bar. Once the light is fully wired up, the aluminum bar, LEDs, wire, and lighthead are fully epoxy embedded for total long-term waterproofness and years in saltwater.
Includes:
- (1) – Loomis LED High-Intensity LED Underwater Dock Light for Shallow Water
- (24) or (48) – 3 Watt LEDs epoxy embedded in 2″ diameter x 8″ long solid epoxy embedded aluminum bar.
- (1) – 25′, 50′, 75′, 100′, 125′ or 150′ 18 AWG heavy-duty Seoprene black rubber cable
- (1) – Epoxy embedded Meanwell Waterproof IP67 rated, auto voltage/current quality transformers with 5′ power cord.
Versatile
Environmentally versatile, our LED underwater dock light can be used for freshwater, saltwater, fixed docks, floating docks, etc. To use, all you need is a 110 AC outlet and a water source. We test all our lights in 90F degree static (not moving) water and measure lighthead temperature with thermal cameras, thermocouple probes, and IR lasers. We test in the most extreme environments possible to ensure your light will not fail. To know what temperature this LED underwater dock light is operating at, we test every single point on the LEDs for uniform heat distribution and heat transfer.
Colors
We offer this High-Intensity LED Underwater Dock Light for Shallow Water in green and aqua. For blue and white you must buy our standard bottom up light for deep water as we do not epoxy embed the blue/white leds as they tend to run hotter. Traditional metal-halide/mercury vapor bulbs put out out a wide spectrum of wavelengths that don’t give you the true color desired. However, LEDs produce a single wavelength pure color that is far more attractive than the greenish-yellow halide bulbs. White LEDs produce 180 lumens per LED, green 130 lumens per LED, aqua 110 lumens per LED, and blue 50 lumens per LED. These are very conservative lumen values. We offer a 24 LED version and a 48 LED version. Therefore, lumen output will vary dependent on color.
Lumen output
High-Intensity 24 LED 360° Underwater Shallow Water Dock Light
- Green: 130 * 24 = 3120 lumens
High-Intensity 48 LED 360° Underwater Shallow Water Dock Light
- Green: 130 * 48 = 6240 lumens
Comparison to other Underwater Lighting Companies
Here at Loomis LED, we manufacture high quality, durable, and incredibly bright LED underwater dock lights. Most companies lie about lumen output and upcharge the price when selling their lights without any electrical operating specifications. For example, Aqua Dock Lights, an underwater dock lighting company, says they sell a light with 16000 lumens. They don’t give any voltage or current specifications making it impossible to determine what the wattage really is.
Fish Attractant
The High-Intensity LED Underwater Dock Light for Shallow Water will attract schools of fish and aquatic life to your dock. Enjoy your summer nights with both a cool aesthetic and an underwater fish beacon. Since dock lights are stationary and will be turned on every night, fish remember the light as a food source and keep coming back for more. A bird feeder acts incredibly similarly, but instead of birdseed, the light acts as food for phytoplankton at night. Phytoplankton will attract more and more aquatic life to feed over time. Enhance your dock fishing experience with increased visibility; ultimately, this enables you to cast where the fish are during your night fishing excursion. Green attracts fish the best, followed by aqua, white, and blue. Read more on our article, “Why do Underwater Lights Attract Fish?” here.
Instructions
To use this light, all you need is a 110 AC outlet, and a water source. After tying an 8″x8″ patio paver to bottom of the light, you just heave it off the dock, it sinks landing face-up, the cord lays on the bottom. Just plug the underwater LED dock light into a 110 AC standard outlet with a timer or photocell. By using a timer or photocell, you can automate when the light turns on or off. Handling any marine environment, the auto voltage/auto current transformers were upgraded to water-resistant IP67 epoxy embedded transformers. Be sure to purchase a low joule power strip surge protector to protect against lightning damage as this is our number 1 killer of lights. To protect your transformer from weather, we recommend building a small housing with holes in the bottom to prevent it from filling with water. To eliminate marine growth apply a very thin film of waterproof outboard marine grease to all PVC areas and cord.
Warranty
100% USA manufactured, we offer a 1-year warranty on this LED underwater dock light because we stand behind our products. Warranty excludes damaged cord, overheated light head from running out of the water and electrical damage. We do not warranty the Meanwell transformers just our lighthead.
