High Powered Deep Submersible 36W Throw N’ Go Portable Underwater Fishing Light
Introducing our High Powered 36W Throw N’ Go Portable Underwater Fishing Light. Perhaps the most important features of this light are its portability, brightness, and versatility. Since our Throw N’ Go Underwater Fishing Light is battery-powered you can essentially bring this light anywhere. It lasts 2-3 hours off of 4 Samsung 3000mah rechargeable batteries. You can store this in your pocket, it weighs roughly 3 pounds, is 5 inches long, and 2 inches in diameter. We also sell a similar dive light here.
Design
Each 12 LED/36 watt light head uses our custom built high power led boards using only the best Cree 3535 high power LEDs. We CNC machine and laser cut all our own materials for complete control over quality and design. We use only American made materials except for the LEDs which we have to get overseas due to our country not producing them anymore. The light heads are completely epoxy filled with a special optical grade high-temperature epoxy which will never yellow or age. These lights are virtually indestructible. The only way to damage them is to run them out of the water for >10-15 minutes. They require water for cooling as we run these at high power.

Our portable underwater fishing light can be used for recreational and commercial fishing, scuba diving, casting, trolling, etc. It can be used off the beach, piers, boats, pools, kayaks, and anywhere a fully waterproof, self-powered high-intensity light source in various colors is needed. Fish are incredibly attracted to this light, particularly in green and white.
Night Fishing
Nighttime fishing is the best time to use this light as it will have greater contrast in the fish’s vision. Primarily, this high-intensity light serves to attract fish just off the bottom that can be cast around in order to land a monster. A chum bag can be attached to the light itself in order to increase fish attraction to the light. Phytoplankton are attracted to light because they undergo photosynthesis and feed on the light itself. Over time, more and more aquatic life will discover the phytoplankton which will increase the amount of feeding that occurs around the light. Therefore, you should leave the light on for an extended duration of time in a specific location so various fish in the food chain will congregate around the light creating an aquatic ecosystem for you to fish. To learn more, read our article, “Why do Underwater Lights Attract Fish?” here.
Depth Targeting Fish
Interestingly, fish swim at differing depths according to the time of day. With this High Powered 36W Throw N’ Go Portable Underwater Fishing Light, you can target specific fish at certain depths up to 500 feet. For example, during the day swordfish swim from 1800 to 9000 feet, but during the night baitfish swim up towards the water’s surface for food. At night, a swordfish will swim from 300 feet deep to the surface of the water in search of these baitfish. Taking this same example, you can put the light down 200 feet attracting all sorts of baitfish which will in turn lure in the swordfish. By doing proper research you can pinpoint different depths to drop this light in order to catch the monsters.
Multiple Applications
Scuba Diving
This portable underwater fishing light can be used as a dive light for scuba diving or spearfishing. Light up the ocean depths while exploring coral reefs, underwater caves, and various aquatic life. Our Loomis LED portable lights can be used as dive safety lights by increasing the visibility of your surroundings, and maybe even your dive partner.
Casting
This 36W Throw N’ Go Portable Underwater Fishing Light can be cast with your rod, or thrown with your rod spool open. Designed to be thrown or cast up to 100 feet away from your casting position, the light will sink to the bottom where it will float facing up. From there, you can cast a second rod out in order to catch fish that are attracted to the light.
Trolling
This light can be trolled behind the boat at night on a trolling jig to lure fish to the surface. By trolling, our underwater portable light will attract swordfish, tuna, etc. during your night fishing experience. Fish will follow the lights being trailed behind your boat. Additionally, you can also buy some underwater transom lights to enhance your lighting area behind the boat!
Instructions
- To use this light, place all 4 batteries in your battery pack in the proper orientation. The light should turn on.
- Place the foam pad over the battery pack.
- Place the metal disc over the foam pad.
- Spin the large wingnut on the expansion plug to waterproof the inner battery compartment and wiring.
- Next, securely tie your paracord or fishing line through the hole in the lighthead
- Drop, throw, or cast the light.
- It will sink at a 1-2 feet per second rate until it hits the bottom. It always lands light facing up due to special counterweights added during design.
Proper Use
- Important: When charging the batteries make sure you put them in the right way into the battery charger. Failing to do so will shortcircuit the battery.
- We recommend purchasing 50′ of 1/8″-3/16″ diameter paracord for $5 at HD/Lowes to thread through the hole on the lighthead.
- The light should not be run out of the water for more than 10 minutes as it requires direct water cooling.
- Additional batteries can be purchased for longer runtime.
Warranty Information
Full 2-year warranty excludes return shipping, running light out of the water and activating 150f thermal sticker, hooking up to the wrong type of battery, or putting the batteries in the charger incorrectly.

- Plug N’ Play: Plug into a standard 110 VAC outlet and throw this off the boat, dock, pool, etc. and watch this illuminate a 360° circle around the light.
- Fish Attractant: Aquatic life is drawn to underwater lights. Phytoplankton feed on light, ultimately, drawing higher members of the aquatic food chain to the light.
- Submersible: With a transformer, we can do longer cable lengths up to 125'. For fishing boats with 110 VAC outlets, these lights can be hooked up to go deeper than our battery-powered fishing drop lights.
- Multiple Applications: Can be dropped off the dock, boat, pool, or anything underwater. All it requires is a 110AC outlet.
- Quality Materials: (4) 36 Watt LED boards, crystal clear temperature-grade epoxy, heavy-duty vinyl end cap for protection, stainless wire eyelet for attaching float or chum bag, and up to 125' of 18 AWG heavy duty SJOOW cable with embedded strain relief.
- Long-Lasting: We run our LEDs at lower power leading to a longer lifetime. We do this because LEDs get most of their lumens at 60 - 70% input power, leading to lower electrical costs, reduced operating temperatures, and longer lifetimes. The indestructible lighthead is fully epoxy embedded, with heavy-duty marine-grade cable.
- Versatile: Can be used for fishing, casting, trolling, diving, or anywhere a self-powered high-intensity light source in various colors is required. To make this light facing up off the bottom, or facing down like a bobber, you can attach floats to the light that we include.
- High-Intensity: Incredibly bright for its battery capacity at approximately 600 lumens.
- Portable: Battery-powered this light runs for 1 hour of run time off a single 3000mah Samsung rechargeable battery. We sell this light with 2 batteries for 2 hours of run time.
- Fish Attractant: Lure all sorts of aquatic life to your underwater light. Fish are lured to underwater lights because phytoplankton congregates around them at night to feed after the sun goes down. Our green 520-nanometer single wavelength attracts fish the best.
- Depth Rated: Fully submersible up to 500' deep you can cast this light down deep, or even use it as a dive light. You can target fish at specific depths by looking at your fishfinder.
- Easy-to-Use: Just plug in the batteries and tighten the expansion plug to make this light fully submersible. Attach to your rod through the cooling hole and drop down to any depth you want.

weston
This is an AWESOME fish magnet made in the USA!!! We first threw the light off the shore and went to the top floor of the house to check it out and see what it looked like. We were blown away that the entire building was green and you could see our shadows on the building, 50 feet above the water and light. (Keep in mind that the light was only about 3-4 feet in the water). I cannot stress how awesome this light is and how nice it was to talk to Andy. Thank you for the great products, will be ordering more lights asap. WS
